I registered on 3 other popular websites, 2 of which were the same business approach - I have to either pay some money to upgrade to a membership package, or don't attempt to contact anyone or being contacted by anyone.
I am left with one site (well, unless I register more, which I don't want to because I am tired out already! :P), well, at least with the free account, I get to view messages. It seemed that only the one who initiates the IM and email will have to pay to get credit, but to response and reply to message is free. (I am cheap? Yeah sure, tell me how many out there who are happy to pay for matchmaker? Hmmm, if not desperately want to find a soul-mate/bed-mate...)
I have to say that I find it really annoying (for me) to complete question after question sort of "help-to-evaluate" myself sort of process. The more annoying part is that those questions couldn't be skipped. I ended up picking whatever just so I could finish that and completed the whole application. But on the other hand, I would imagine for serious date/love/relationship seekers, those questions won't be annoying, instead, perhaps intrigue their interest.
I have already received a couple of IMs and emails through the dating site, did a quick glance on those people's profile, haven't found anyone interesting. So I didn't respond at all. I am not in the mood of browsing the 2500ish online-now members, well, I will not do it at all. My "plan" is to see if there are anyone interesting among those who contact me. If I feel like responding, I will.
Anyway, enough for this today. I am going to watch a movie now... |
